Friends, Hope you’ve found some shops to grab your supplies. If you haven’t be sure to check out Stitch Supply Co. for some curated bag kits! I have supplies in my shop along with some helpful bag making tools. If you have some scraps start cutting them up! This Patchwork Duffle is perfect for using up those quilt scrap leftovers.

THE SCHEDULE
We will be making the Patchwork Duffle over the next 4 weeks, taking it nice and slow to be able to cover all the bag making details.
COLLECT YOUR SUPPLIES
Do you have everything you need? Fabric, batting/Soft and Stable, Zippers? Are you making a solid fabric version or the patchwork version? Are you covering your straps with fabric or using a cotton webbing?
I am SO excited to share that I now sell 22 colors of cotton handle webbing! If you want to skip the step to cover your straps with fabric this is just the perfect option for you.
PATCHWORK PIECING
If you are piecing the exterior of your duffle bag you will want to do that this week to be ready for quilting next week. Be sure to check out my YouTube to see how I like to chain-piece patchwork.
Are you adding a carrying strap to your bag? I have a pattern hack tutorial to share exactly how to do that, along with all the additional supplies that you would need. Here is the link to that blog.
This weeks sponsors are Chloe from CocoWest Illustrations and Oon from Grape Soda Studio. They are generously providing the most darling prizes! Stickers, pin, and Needle Minder from @chloedala. Quilt club patches and a PDF copy of all 3 her Quilting patterns from @grapesodastudio. |
Thanks for being here! and Thanks for sewing along!!
