Thank you to all who have sewn along with me the past couple of weeks. I hope it’s been a relaxed sew-along that has taught new skills and brought joy into your sewing life! I loved designing these baskets and hope they bring fun, creativity, and functionality to your life!
Based on your Instagram posts, it looks to me like you quilted your Soft and Stable beautifully! I try to always have it in stock so if you ever need more, you can always find it here!
This week we will finish assembling our baskets. We will attach the exterior and interior fabrics and bind the bottom basket base. If you haven’t worked with bias binding, this will give you a little healthy discomfort and a great opportunity to try something new! Bias binding is usually necessary in binding any curve. It stretches very easily and wraps around the circle base. Be sure your binding doesn’t twist as you attach it to the base.
All you need to do this week to be entered into the final giveaway is share a picture of your final Olivia Basket and use the #oliviabasketsewalong hashtag so I can see your post! YAY!
My hope is that you’ll be able to have enough time to make a few more if you decided these are just what you’re missing from your Easter traditions. Or maybe to just store goodies around your home.

This week we have a great prize from one of my favorite brick-and-mortar shops, (the one that gave me my beginning in longarm quilting and my love affair with the quilting industry) Quilted Works. They are providing a Ruby Red Olfa cutter and a matching red Stash n Store!
I’m also giving away a $25 dollar gift card to one of my favorite Etsy shops Handcut Fabrics.
The winner of this week’s giveaway will be chosen Friday Morning. I am leaving for Africa with Mothers Without Borders that afternoon and will pick the winner and ship out the prize before I leave. Be sure to post your photo by Thursday night (Sorry for the rush at the end)!
Thank you for sewing with me and bringing life to this fun basket pattern! I’ve already seen so many darling finished baskets. Hope you enjoy making them over and over again!
